Gertie Mae Price

Gertie Mae Price, age 85, of Maryville, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, June 11, 2012 at home with her family. Mrs. Price was a member of Community Baptist Church and working in the banking industry for many years. She enjoyed her gardening, her flowers, and traveling. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and a true friend who will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind. Preceded in death by her parents Tishie and Huse McGill; sister, Margaret Montgomery; and brothers, Fred and George McGill. Survivors include her devoted husband of 35 years, Donald K. Price; The Children of her heart, David Price and spouse Cindy, Jenni Payne and spouse Lonnie, and Donna Gent and spouse David, all of Madison, WV; brothers and sister-in-law, Charles McGill of Rockford, Clarence and Phyllis McGill of Maryville; sisters, Bertha Chamberlain of Knoxville and Nellie Haire of Maryville; A celebration of Gertie Mae's life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2012 in the Smith Trinity chapel with Rev. Charley McGill officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Ellejoy cemetery for the Interment service with Lonnie Payne, David Price, Dudley Price, Bob Price, and David Gent serving as honorary pallbearers.
