Geraldine Johnson Timberlake

Geraldine Johnson Timberlake, age 93, of Sweetwater, died at Brakebill Nursing Home in Knoxville on Monday, June 18, 2012. She was called Bitsy all her life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, W. Ivan Timberlake, in 1997. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Edna White, Sweetwater, and devoted sister-in-law, Ina Rose Mullendore, Knoxville. She was born in Chattanooga but moved to McMinn County during the Depression. She at one time worked for Harry T. Burn in McMinn County. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sweetwater. She is survived by her two daughters, Janice T. Hightshoe, Clarksville, and Geri T. Pritchett, Louisville; and grandson and his wife, William Timberlake (Lake) and Julie Henderson, Plano, Texas. The family would like to express their appreciation to the caregivers at Brakebill Nursing Home for their care and service. There will be a private family service at a later date.
