Geraldine S. Kirby

Gerlene (Geraldine) Stinnett Kirby, age 90, of Maryville, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013. She was born at Elkmont, TN on May 7, 1922. She was the seventh child of Willie & Polly Ogle Stinnett. Gerlene was preceded in death by: Parents; Brothers, Clell, Gentry, & James; Sisters, Pearl, Della, Dorothy Stinnett Cogdill & Vada Stinnett Pack; Beloved Husband, Clyde G. Kirby. Survivors include: Daughter, Linda C. Kirby; Son & Daughter-in-law, George Clyde (Sonny) & Peggy Kirby; Grandchildren, John & Catherine Kirby of Chattanooga, Jennifer & Brock Hirschy of Virginia, Robert & Chelsey Kirby of Maryville; Great-Grandchildren, Grace, Joseph, & Rose Kirby, Cordia & Lydia Hirschy, Brayden & Carter Kirby; Sister, Lorene Stinnett Campbell; Brother & Sister-in-law, Wendell & Anah Stinnett of Pigeon Forge; several wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Gerlene was a Godly Christian woman who read her Bible and prayed daily. She was a member of Everett Hills Baptist Church. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, February 8, 2013 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Doug Hayes and Rev. Henry Linginfelter officiating.
