Georgia Mae Richardson

June 15, 1918 — July 19, 2013

Georgia Mae Richardson age 95 of Maryville passed away Friday, July 19, 2013 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church, a member of Blount County Retired Teachers, charter member of Alpha Kappa Teachers Sorority, retired teacher of Blount County. She taught 37 years at Rockford Elementary School. Preceded in death by: husband, Marion Richardson; mother & father, Harrison & Ethel (Robinson) Heatherly; step mother, Pearl Heatherly; brothers, Melvin & J. Will Heatherly. She is survived by: son & daughter-in-law, Ronnie & Myra Richardson; two grandchildren, Lisa (David) Talley of Maryville and Lance (Heather) Richardson of Phoenix, Arizona; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Blake, Paxon, and Zoey Richardson; sister, Christine Miller of Florida; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Wellington Place for their caregiving. Family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:30 PM, Monday, July 22, 2013 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will be at 2:30 PM, Monday, July 22, 2013 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev Tony Collins & Rev. David Webster officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 3:30 PM, Monday, July 22, 2013 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
