George P. Thomas age 64 of Maryville passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012 at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Mountain Home, TN. George retired from ALCOA after 37 years of service and was a member of their 25-Year Club. He was active in his DAV Group. George was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. Preceded in death by: Son, Brandon Thomas; Parents, Kelly & Maggie Thomas; Brother, Ronald Thomas; Grandmother, Josie Thomas. Survivors include: Wife of 40 years, Sandra Thomas; Daughter & Son-in-law, Stacy & Troy Eggers of Maryville; Aunt, Georgia Thomas; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and several special friends. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 3:00 PM, Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
