George Washington Teffeteller

George W. Teffeteller age 83 of Maryville passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at UT Hospital. He was a member of Tuckaleechee Chapel Baptist Church. He retired from ALCOA , was a member of the 25 Year Club and the Local 309 Steel Workers Union. George was a flea market treasure hunter and a member of the Foothills Antique Tractor Club. Preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Alma Jean Teffeteller; grandson, Justin Teffeteller; brothers, Raymond, Cecil, I.G., Ed, and J.R. Teffeteller. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Roger Lee and Debbie Teffeteller and Trent Teffeteller all of Maryville; daughter, Mary Teffeteller of Maryville; grandchildren, David Teffeteller, Trenna Hamilton and husband, Joe, Nicki Dyer, Ivey Harless, and Travis Teffeteller; great grandchild, Kiley Rose; brothers, Kenneth Teffeteller and Bill Teffeteller; sister, Helen Benson; special friends, Marion Hatcher, John Lowe, and the Hardee's Bunch. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2013 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. John Lowe officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
