George Washington Tatum III

SMS USAF Ret. George Washington Tatum, III, age 71 of Louisville passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the family home. George loved the Lord. He enjoyed cooking, especially chicken and dumplings, and gardening. He was the best dad ever and a very loving husband. George retired after 21 years in the Air Force followed by 25 years of civil service with the Department of Defense. Preceded in death by: Parents, George W. Tatum Jr. and Lillian Smith Tatum. Survivors include: Wife of 37 years, Catherine Goodwin Tatum; Daughter, Teri Lynn Scarbro; Sister, Barbara Hartsfield; Sister & Brother-in-law, Patricia & Robert Roberts; Brother-in-law & Wife, Alan & Amanda Goodwin; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Smith East Hall with Preacher Mike Seagle officiating. Inurnment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
