George Lowell Seale, affectionately known as Lowell, Dad, Grandpa and Great Grampy was born in Booneville, KY on January 19, 1928 to Cynthia and Glass Seale. He left this earth on March 15, 2019 to live eternally in his heavenly home. He was married for nearly 72 years to the "sweetest and prettiest" woman he ever met, Mavis Seale. He was a proud veteran having served stateside in the US Army. Following his discharge, he and Mavis settled in Ohio where they raised their family of four children, Debby, Steve, Melissa and Chris. Over the coming years, Lowell would have several careers and retirements in addition to multiple part time jobs. He had a great sense of fulfillment in his work ethic and providing for his family. He worked as a machinist at Dayton Press. This retirement was followed by a move to Baltimore, Maryland to be near family and then a second career at Fort Meade. This was followed by another retirement to Florida for a number of years, a place many of the grandchildren look forward to visiting. Finally, Lowell and Mavis moved to Maryville Tennessee to again be closer to family. Lowell was a lifelong believer in the saving grace of Jesus Christ. He eagerly shared his faith with others. He leaves behind a great example of loving God and loving family. He gave heartfelt thanks for each of these daily. He was gentle in spirit and gracious in attitude. He will be dearly missed but we rejoice in his life and the love that will remain forever in our hearts. George was preceded in death by his wife, Mavis Seale; sons, Steve Seale and Chris Seale; brothers, Eddie Seale and Harold Seale. He is survived by his daughters, Debby Fox (Bill), Melissa Taylor (Dudley); daughters-in-law, Kim Seale and Ramona Seale; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; brother, John Seale (Donna); sisters, Mary Frances Scrivener (Tom), Ruth Ann Reams (Ben). The family will receive friends on Monday, March 18, 2019 from 11:00 until 12:00 with a funeral service to follow at Smith's Trinity Chapel. Friends and family will proceed to Grandview Cemetery following the funeral service for a 1:00 pm interment service.
