George Glenn Lambdin

Glenn George Lambdin, age 98, of Alcoa, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2012. He was a longtime member of First Alcoa Baptist Church. Glenn was born in Union County, Tennessee in 1914. He graduated from Lincoln Memorial University in 1937, taught high school in Lee County, VA until going to work for ALCOA, Inc. in 1940. He retired from ALCOA, Inc. in 1977 to devote full time to gardening activities. Preceded in death by: Parents, Foa & Minnie Belle Lambdin; Brothers, Midas & Gaylord Lambdin; Wives, Anna Davis Lambdin and Fern Davis Lambdin. Survivors include: Daughter & Son-in-law, Margaret Jo & Doug Greene of Alcoa; Son, Michael Lambdin; Grandsons, Dustin & wife Heidi Greene of California, Westin & wife Shana Greene of Vermont; Granddaughter, Elizabeth Greene of Alcoa; Great-Grandson, Tyler Wayne Greene of California; Brother & Sister-in-law, Buck & Jean Lambdin of Maryville; Sisters, Rowena Hamilton of Maryville and Lucille Taylor of Alcoa; numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 3:30 PM, Friday, September 14, 2012 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Westin Greene officiating.
