George Cole Loy

George Loy, 72, went to see Jesus at 3:00 AM, Friday, January 02, 2015. George worked in the food business all his life, Shoneys, (IJ Food Service), Burger King, Bel-Air Grill, Eddie's Heart and Soul Café, and Gatti's Pizza. Most recently, he worked at First Baptist Church Maryville, FLC greeting people, which he loved. He was known for his smile. He was a member of First Baptist Church Maryville, where he served as a Deacon, and worked in the Singles Department. He taught First and Second Grade Sunday School for 20 years, where he was known as Mr. George. He was also the Lay Renewal Youth Director. Preceded in death by: Father, A.B. Loy; Mother, Rushia Loy; Brother, Bob; Sister, Jane. Survivors include: Wife of 42 years, Wilma L. Loy; Son, George Jr. & wife Leslie; Granddaughters, Alaina and Cortney; Great-Granddaughter, "Izzy"; Daughters, Spring & husband Charlie; Granddaughter, Grayson; Grandsons, Blade & Jaylen; several special nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 3, 2015 at First Baptist Church Maryville. Memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM.
