Genevie Ruth Reed

Genevie Reed, widow of Thomas Bruce Reed, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024, after a brief illness. Born in McMinn County on March 2nd, 1928, she was preceded in death by her parents Everett Ross and Rosa Davis Ross, as well as siblings Marie Malone, Hugh and Wayne Ross, and Edna Davis.

She is survived by her daughters, Ann and Joyce Reed; brother, Charles Ross; sister, Phyllis Leslie; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Other survivors include her special grandson, Braxton (Hayley) Hunter, and greatest-granddaughter, Lydia Hunter.

A memorial service for Genevie will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 13th at Smith Funeral and Cremation Services with Dr. Greg Heisler officiating.
