Wright, Gearldine E. age 58 of Maryville passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at the family home. She retired from ALCOA with 33 years of service. Preceded in death by: Mother, Marie Effler; Sister, Carolyn Effler; Brother, Andrew "Andy" Effler. Survivors include: Husband, William Howard Wright; Son, John F. Myers IV of Union County; Son and Daughter-in-law, Hubert William "Will" & Jennifer Wright of Ft. Polk, LA, 10th Mountain Division; Son, Tony James Myers of Maryville; Four Grandchildren; Father, James Floyd "Big Ab" Effler of Walland; Brothers, Leon Effler of Vonore and Bobby Effler of Walland; Sisters, Brenda Jane McKee of Maryville and Charlotte Little of Walland; Sister and Brother-in-law, Phyllis & Lewis Sutton of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, Thursday, July 27, 2006 in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Wesley Odell and Erskin Tallent officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 PM, Friday, July 28, 2006 at Unicoi Baptist Church in Tellico Plains for the interment.
