Gary Lynn Burchfield

Gary Lynn Burchfield, age 71 of Walland, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022 at the family home. Gary was a member, deacon, and clerk at West Millers Cove Primitive Baptist Church for 36 years and was the clerk and assistant clerk for the Primitive Baptist Association for 27 years. He retired from Alcoa after 37 years of service and was a member of the 25-year club. Gary loved the outdoors going “coon” hunting and fishing, and enjoyed woodworking. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Wilma Burchfield; and brother, Larry Burchfield. Survived by his wife and best friend of 53 years, Trudy Hurst Burchfield; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Tammy Burchfield of Walland; daughter and son-in-law, Kelli and Jerry Barnes of Maryville; grandchildren, Lauren Brimer and husband, Cody, Hailey Dunn and husband, Jake, Madison Terry, and Jess Burchfield and special friend, Kayla Beshore; great-grandchildren, Jackson Terry, Emory Brimer, Paisley Dunn, and Mazzy Jane Burchfield; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Carol Burchfield of Maryville; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family also.
