On the afternoon of July 21, God called Freda Baker Webb home. She went willingly and peacefully after battling health issues for years. During her time on Earth, she developed Stonebrook Subdivision in Red Bank, TN near Chattanooga and later developed and ran Orchard Cove Stables in Townsend, TN. In her spare time, she took care of her husband of 53 years, two children, her nephew Alex Baker, and grandchildren. She was also the Secretary for the East Brainerd Church of the Nazarene. She will be truly missed in this world.
She tried her best to live out John Wesley’s word, “Do all the good you can, in all the ways you can, to all the souls you can, in every place you can, with all the zeal you can, as long as you ever can.”
Freda is survived by her husband Ed and two children Kevin Webb (Sarah) and Heather Webb. She had six grandchildren, Caedmon, Molly, Zeke, and Nathan Webb of Chattanooga and Will and Seth Webb of Townsend. She also had three sisters, Paula Taylor (Bob) of Hardy, AR; Karen Trussell (Jim) of Auburn, AL; and Sheliah Baker of Chattanooga, TN; along with several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Condolences may be shared at www.SmithFuneralandCremationService. Smith Funeral and Cremation Service, Maryville, 865-983-1000.
