Fred Franklin Boyd

Fred Franklin Boyd, Sr. age 80 of Maryville passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from Defense Contracts Management Agency. Preceded in death by his parents, George Garland and Thee Doshie Boyd; brothers, Donnas, James E. and Thomas E. Boyd; sisters, Cora Boyd Chester and Ruth Boyd Hines. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Betty L. Boyd; son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Tammy Boyd; son, Jeffery Boyd; grandchildren, Christopher Boyd and Leigh Boothe and husband, Brandon; great grandchildren, Kelsey Grace Thompson, Kylie Brook Boothe, Kaylin Jeannette Boothe; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Grandview Cemetery for graveside service and interment. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2010 at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Maryville, 983-1000.
