Baumgardner, Fred Howard of Maryville passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church. He was a World War II Air Force Veteran stationed in Alaska. He retired from Zollner Pistons in Ft. Wayne, Indiana as a First Aid Tech. Preceded in death by: Parents, James Earl & Stella Baumgardner; Brother, Homer R. Baumgardner; Sister, Earlene Duggan. Survivors include: Wife of 61 years, Wanda June Wolfe Baumgardner; Sons and Daughters-in-law, Jimmy & Barb Baumgardner of Ft. Wayne, IN, Jerry & Charlene Baumgardner of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Jeffrey & Leigh Baumgardner of Kettering, OH; Daughter , Judy Baumgardner & Glenn Hobbs of Knoxville; Sisters, Wilma Mantooth of Maryville, Helen Joy Miller of Ft. Myers, FL; Six grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, Friday, February 23, 2007 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Arkie Baker officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Carpenters Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery for the interment.
