Fred Herman Anderson age 81 went peacefully to heaven on May 29, 2008 at UT Hospital. He was a member and deacon of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Fred was a Veteran of World War II in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1945. He retired from ALCOA with 49 years of service and was a member of the United Steel Workers of America Local 309. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and 32nd degree Mason. Preceded in death by: 1st wife of 32 years, Lennie Gentry Anderson; Infant daughter; Granddaughter, April Nicole Allmon; Parents, Robert R. & Bertha Anderson; Brothers, Robert Anderson and Troy Anderson; Sister, Mary Helen Anderson. Survivors include: Wife of 22 years, Bonnie B. Anderson; Son & Daughter-in-law, Michael & Adrienne Anderson; Daughters & Sons-in-law, Donna & Dennis Arnott and Beverly & Mike Allmon; Step daughters and Sons-in-law, Lynette & Bob McCall and LaRue & Allen Bird; Grandchildren, Melanie Herr, Ben Arnott, Kasey Allmon, Joseph Anderson, Madeline Anderson, Katherine Anderson, Zackery Anderson, Meredith McCall, Jeff Bird (Kristy), Tracy Jackson (Matt), Leah Smith (Mark); Great-Grandchildren, Lucas Goodman, Brooks Bird, Raymond Smith. Special thanks to the Nursing Staff on 9 East for their loving care. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Monday, June 2, 2008 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Carl White & Rev. George Macht officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
