Hansen, Frank N.; age 76, of Friendsville, passed away quickly from his battle of cancer with his family at his home on Saturday, December 19, 2009. He was of the Catholic faith and was a Veteran serving in the United States Air Force. He graduated from Northwestern University where he played football and baseball. He retired a successful sales executive and moved to Tennessee to pursue his love of golf, boating, and gardening. He became a substitute teacher at Heritage and William Blount High Schools where he was affectionately known as “Super Sub�? by his students. He lived a life “Well-Lived�? and was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Anne Hansen, and his special pet cat “Bum�?. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Dianne M. Hansen; son, Kenneth Hansen of Woodstock, Ill; daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine and Charlie Ehringer of Littleton, CO; and Elaine and Tom Conlon of Batavia, IL; grandchildren, Tommy Ehringer, and Matthew and Madeline Conlon; brothers and sisters-in-law, Herbert and Anna Marie Hansen of Lincoln, NE, and Thomas and Beverly Hansen of Rolling Meadows, IL; Many nieces, nephews, family, and a host of friends also survive.
