Ford P. Edmonds

Ford P. Edmonds, age 78 of Townsend, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was born January 1, 1936 near Suttle, AL. He moved to Mississippi at the age of 22 and worked in the Financial Industry for over 20 years, where he met his wife of 54 years, Mary Ann Winter Edmonds. He moved his family to Townsend, TN in 1982 where he worked as Property Manager at Wesley Woods Youth Camp while also operating Mary's Mountain Cottages. He enjoyed gardening, working outdoors and driving the loop at Cades Cove. He attended Maryville Church of Christ and was preceded in death by his Parents, John and Ada Plummer Edmonds; Sisters, Margie Freeland and Faye Stripp; Survived by his Wife, Mary Ann Edmonds; Son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Tina Edmonds of Friendsville; Grandchildren, Joshua and Christie Edmonds; Brother and Sister-in-law, Howard and Fredna Edmonds of Selma, Al; Sisters, Bernice Oaks of Greensboro, AL, Merlee Hartley of Montgomery, AL, and Jo Anne Sponaugle of Manassas, VA; Many Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends also survive. A Celebration of Ford's Life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Maryville Church of Christ with Elder Jonathan Jones officiating.
