Fonda Stratton Hollar

Fonda Stratton Hollar, age 60, of Townsend, formerly of Atlanta, passed away Friday, April 22, 2011 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Fonda was born October 27, 1950 in Maryville to Joe and Ota Mae Stratton. She was a member of Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church and attended Townsend High School. Later she graduated Knoxville Business College and retired from American Heritage Credit Union in Atlanta, GA; She was an avid fisherman winning many tournaments with her best friend and husband, Lynn; She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joe Jr.; Fonda is survived by her husband of 20 years, Lynn Hollar; sister, Phyllis S. Keeler and sister-in-law, Brenda Stratton, nephew , Jim and Lisa Keeler all of Townsend; grand-nephew, Cody (Amanda) Keeler with Kayleigh and Zakk of Jacksonville, NC; grand-niece, Courtney Fonda (Ryan) Nagel with Zoi, also of Jacksonville, NC; aunts, Betty White, Margaret Waters, Jane (Theron) Burchfield, all of Maryville/Alcoa, and Minnie Foster of Kingsport; special pets, Tomasetta the cat, and her friends the dogs, Benji, Sugar, C.K., and Mae Mae; also surviving are a host of cousins; Fonda was blessed to have a very large extended family and friends including, The Hollar Family, as well as, the Easter, Coleman, McCampbell, Gardner, Phillips, Lambert, Eckerley, Hemphill Families, Scott Hubnell, Harriett Pangle, Brent Headrick, and the entire Delta Family. Fonda truly was an Angel on earth that now finally has her wings. A celebration of Fonda’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. in the Smith Trinity Chapel. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Campground UMC or your local pet shelter.
