Floyd Teaster

Floyd Teaster age 87 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was born February 19, 1924 in Sevierville, the son of the late Harmon & Mimmie Teaster. He was a loving husband and a dedicated family man. He retired from ALCOA in 1986 after 41 years of service and was a member of their 25-Year Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Teaster, son, Eugene Teaster and several brothers & sisters. Survivors include his daughters, Freda Teaster of Maryville and Brenda Teaster of Chicago; son, Andrew Teaster of Maryville; sisters, Iva McMahan and Esther Teaster; brother, A.C. Teaster all of Townsend; grandchildren, Anita Kedzoin of Chicago, Caitlyn Teaster of NC, Mollie Teaster, Sandra Teaster & Benjamin Teaster all of Maryville. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Smith Funeral Chapel. The family & friends will assemble at 1:00 pm Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for graveside service & interment.
