Floyd Leach Dunn age 93 of Maryville passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. He served in the Army/Air Corp during World War II with 3701st AAF Bomber Unit. He was enlisted from August 25, 1942 to September 30, 1945. Floyd was a charter member of Home Builders Association of Maryville and built over 400 homes. He was a faithful member of Monte Vista Baptist Church since 1960 and previously was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church. He loved his family. Preceded in death by: Father, James Floyd Dunn; Mother, Annie Whittle Dunn; Brothers, Cecil Dunn, Clark Dunn, Homer Dunn, Eason Dunn; Sisters, Sibyl Quarlles, Mable Cochran, Edith Pritchett, Willa Jean Sandige, Margaret Dunn, Annie Lee Moore, Minnie Bell Langford. Survivors include: Wife, Eunice Louise Crumbley Dunn; Sons & Daughter-in-law, Darrell Dunn of Maryville, Fred & Libby Dunn of Marietta, GA; Daughter & Son-in-law, Nancy & David Burnette of Friendsville; Grandchildren, Betsy Richardson of Woodstock, GA, Caroline Anderson of Friendsville, Angela Floyd of Woodstock, GA, and Mary Sharp of Louisville, TN, Christy Chromek of Houston, GA, Jessica Dickenson of Knoxville, Brittany Dean of Bethesda, MD; 16 Great-Grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Jerry Mantooth and Rev. Merrle Moore officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
