Florence "Granny" Barnes age 92 of Townsend passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Preceded in death by: Husband, Clarence Barnes; Sisters, Sarah Hembree, Jane Brown, Ruby Roland; Brother, Jim Huskey and Pink Huskey. Survivors include: Daughters & Sons-in-law, Carol & Chester Wilburn of Little Torch Key, FL and Mary & Tim Skipper of Townsend; Sons & Daughters-in-law, Melvin & Judy Hembree of Townsend, Charles Hembree & Debbie Fagg of Townsend, and Kenneth & Faye Hembree of Townsend; Special Friend, Wilma; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Friday, February 14, 2014 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Fate Green officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment.
