Evelyn W. West

Evelyn Wear West, 85, passed away on Friday, July 22. She was born in Townsend, Tennessee on May 29, 1926 the sixth of nine children born to Sheridan and Callie Wear. During her career she worked as a secretary/bookkeeper and as an interior decorator. She also performed volunteer work at a church daycare center in Clinton, Tennessee. She enjoyed traveling and cruises and later in life she became an avid Lady Vols Fan. She leaves two children and their spouses, daughter Angleque and Roy Bryson of Kissimmee, Florida and son Brian and Tamela West, of Katy, Texas. She leaves three grandchildren, Kimberley Langston of Aldie, Virginia, Emily Bryson of Adelaide, Australia, and Michelle Mireles-Rutherford of Katy, Texas. Five great grandchildren, Allison and Michael Mireles, Natalie Rutherford, and Chase and Ainsley Langston. She was married to Charles “Hap�? West for forty-three years. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Bill and Jackie Wear, of Alcoa, Tennessee and sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Troy White of Maryville, Tennessee. A Celebration of Life reception will be at Smith Life Event Center, 1404 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN 37803 on July 29th at 6:00 pm with fellowship to follow. Family and friends will assemble for interment at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 10:00 am.
