Evan Boyd Souther

Evan Boyd Souther age 97 of Maryville, TN passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013. Evan was born in Wilkesboro, North Carolina on January 28, 1916. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He worked for over 25 years as a metallurgist at the Aluminum Company of America. Evan was an avid gardener. Preceded in death by: Parents, Andrew & Nancy Souther (North Carolina); Brother, Earl Souther (North Carolina); Wife, Ruth Anderson Souther of Maryville, TN. Survivors include: Son & Daughter-in-law, Dr. & Mrs. Stephen K. Souther (Vickie) of Albany, Georgia; Daughters, Dr. Jane Souther of Maryville, Carol & Dr. Brian Smith of Greeneville, TN, and Alice & Ron Aiello of Jefferson, Georgia; Grandchildren, Jennifer Jenkins of Cleveland, TN, Nicole, Rebekah & Emily Shepherd of Maryville, Rachel, Jared, & Alyssa Smith of Greeneville, TN, Andrea Harper of Columbus, Georgia, Nancy Souther of Knoxville, TN, Nathan Souther of Albany, GA; Sisters, Alma Kale, Ina Easley, and Mildred Hankins all of Walnut Cove, North Carolina; Beloved Dog, Tyson. Private Graveside Service and interment will be held at Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Charles Ballard officiating.
