Eula Davis Hembree, age 80 of Townsend, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022 at Liberty Assisted Living from stage 4 breast cancer and dementia. Eula was a 1960 graduate of Townsend High School where she played basketball and was a cheerleader. She was saved at Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church when she was young. Eula loved cooking, talking, flowers, the UT Vols, going to Parkway Grocery Store every day, but most of all her family and grandkids. Preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Hembree; parents, Clay and Louise Davis; brother, Talley Davis; brothers and sister-in-law, Carl and Gloria Hembree, Wendell Hembree; sister-in-law, Ruth Massey; brother-in-law, Harold Hembree; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thannie and Nellie Hembree; niece, Nancy Cockrum; nephew, Sam Hembree; great nephew, DeWayne Cockrum. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Kelly Hembree; grandchildren, Whitney and Zach Denman, Rusty Hembree and Taelyr; great-grandchildren, Paisley, Boyd, Tayli; brother-in-law, Warren Massey; sisters-in-law, Joyce Hembree, Lois Reagan, Peggy Hembree, Carol Davis; aunts and uncles, June and Kenneth Beaver, Van and Betty Webb; close friend and neighbor, Kevin Breeden; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Friday, February 18, 2022 at Smith West Chapel with the Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 PM.
