Eugene R. Collins

Eugene R. Collins age 79 of Maryville passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011 in Spartanburg, SC. He was retired from the United States Air Force and was a school teacher in South Carolina for many years. Preceded in death by his girlfriend, Wilma Pennington. Survivors include his daughter, Karen Johnson; son and daughter-in-law, James and Joanne Collins; grandchildren, Carey and Chris Ownby, Christian Reagon, Jason, Jennifer, and Jessica Collins; great grandchildren, Cody, Krista, and Jessica Ownby; mother of his children, Patricia Myers; special friends, the Pennington Family. Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2011 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Pastor Jason Littlejohn officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment with full military honors.
