Ethel Gibson Huskey

April 21, 1924 — April 10, 2013

Ethel Frye Gibson Huskey, age 88, of Maryville, went home to be with The Lord on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Asbury Place of Maryville. Mrs. Huskey was a member of East Walland Baptist Church and was retired as an Inspector from Levi Strauss Co. She is preceded in death by her parents, Webster and Lucy Frye; son, David Gibson; great-granddaughter, Alicia Gibson; daughter-in-law, Diane Gibson; sister, Helen Bookout; husbands, Dave Gibson, Clyde Miller, and Raymond Huskey. Survivors include her son, Bobby Gibson of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Lucy and Wayne Parker of Maryville; step-sons, James and Cathy Jo Huskey, and Jerry and Cathy Lynn Huskey; grandchildren, Clint Gibson, Autumn Gibson, David Gibson Jr., Sarah Parker, and Lee Parker; step-grandchildren, Troy Huskey, Nathan Huskey, Stephen Huskey, and Amy Russell; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Georgie Sludder of Louisville; Many other family and friends also survive. The family would like to express special thanks to the nursing staff of 1 south at Asbury Place of Maryville and special friend, Max Hodge. A celebration of Ethel's life will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 12, 2013 in Smith West Chapel with Rev. Gerald Smelcer officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 13, 2013 at West Millers Cove Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment.
