Estel Brown

Estel Brown age 82 of Walland, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the family home. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for over 30 years. He retired as Sgt. 1st Class (E7) from the US Army. Estel was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melanie Brown Gates; parents, Guilford Cam & Nellie Brown; sister, Hazel Garland. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Marjory Brown; children, Marcia Brown King & husband Larry, Stefan Estel Brown & wife Laura, Leanna Brown Belew & husband Mike; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; special friend, Ralph Rodriguez & wife Donna. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will be at 7:00 pm with Rev. Greg Long and Dr. Ralph Rodriguez officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 am, Friday, March 11, 2011 at Grandview Cemetery.
