Ernest Edward Pappy Collins

Ernest Edward “Pappy�? Collins, age 87 of the Maryville Punkin’ Center Community, passed away Friday, July 30, 2010 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII and was a dedicated lifelong Truck Driver. Survivors include his sons, Eddie Collins of Maryville and Bill Collins of Stone Mountain, GA. WWMC; daughters, Sherry Collins Gorenflo of Jasper, GA, and Melissa Collins Burns of Knoxville; grandchildren, Josh Collins, William Collins Jr., and Ciera Moreno; great-grandchild, Allysa Gayle Collins; sister, Peggy Ann Wilburn of Virginia; nephews and other family also survive. A celebration of “Pappy’s�? life will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 in the Smith West Chapel with Rev. George Macht and Rev. Rex Everett officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
