Emma Brockman Effler

Emma (Alice) Brockman Effler age 89 of Maryville passed away Friday, September 9, 2011. She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church and past worthy matron of The Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by; parents, John and Mabel Brockman, sisters, Eleanor Morris, Lucille Durant and Katherine Brockman. Survivors include; husband of 71 years, Wilbur Effler, children; Robert Henry Effler and wife Linda, Wilbur Lawrence, Jr. and wife Judy, Wilda Fernandez, Nancy Smith and husband Steve, Cathi Barr and husband Steve, Betty Thompson, and Sandra Schwartz and husband Van, 8 Grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; sister, Johnnie Copeland. Funeral service will be at 7:00 pm on September 11, 2011 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Funeral and Cremation service with her grandson Rev. Danny Fernandez and Rev. Rex Rogers officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 on Monday, September 12, 2011 at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel for the Entombment. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Cerebral Palsy Association or a favorite charity of your choice. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm unitl 7:00 prior to the service at Smith Funeral and Cremation Service, Maryville.
