Elva Lee Lane Ledford

Ledford, Elva Lee (Lane), age 82 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2007 at Maryville Healthcare Center. She was born on June 11, 1925 in Robinsville, NC. As a member of Morning Star Baptist Church, she was known and loved for her singing and testimony. She was preceded in death by her husband and pastor, Rev. LB Ledford; parents, W.O. and Ethyl Lane; brothers, Charles and Harold Lane, all of Robinsville, NC. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Betty Ledford, Roger and Milli Ledford, David and Darlene Ledford; daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Chris Eaton; daughter, Marretta Jeane; grandchildren, Shayne (Noel) Hayes, Cindy (Chris) Hunt, Autumne (Roy) Shields, Heather Ledford, Manoah Ledford, Joshua Wright, Adam Long, and Shane Whitehead; great grandchildren, Seth Ledford, Brianna Pitts, Lexie Hunt, Christopher Hunt, Ethan Hayes, Lacy Hayes, Matthew Cable, Audrey Shields, Daytona Wright; brother, Hugh; sisters, Hildred, Laura, Naomi, and Ondra; several nieces and nephews; and notably the family of Morning Star Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at Morning Star Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Jenkins, Pastor Albert Oliver, and Pastor Ed Walker officiating. Family and friends will assemble 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
