Elmer Harold Marine

Elmer Harold Marine, age 82, of Maryville, passed away Thursday, January 05, 2017 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Harold was a graduate of Friendsville High School where he enjoyed FFA and basketball. He was a proud member of Calvary Baptist Church of Alcoa serving in the choir. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was the son of the late Elmer H. and Nellie Myers Marine. Harold was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie Lee Marine; brother and sisters, Kenneth Marine, Margie Wilson and Olief Butcher; He is survived by his wife, Clarice Newman Marine of Maryville; Daughter and son-in-law, Joy Marine and Helmi H. Banegas; Grandchildren, William H. and Carrie R. Banegas, Pamela Joy Banegas, and Jennifer Lynne Banegas, all of Manassas, Virginia; Sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Bill Roberts of Greenback; and Brother and sister-in-law, Mahlon and Marguerite Marine of Huntsville, Alabama. A Celebration of Harold’s Life will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Greg Williamson officiating. Interment service will follow in Zion’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
