Elizabeth Anne Ellis Jones died surrounded by the love of her family and friends on Tuesday, May 22, 2007. She was a member of First United Methodist Church for more than 50 years having served in many capacities, including Church Treasurer, member of UMW, and was a Preschool Coordinator and Sunday School Teacher for 17 years. She was a former member of B & PW, Sam Houston School House Guild, and employed by Bank of Maryville and American Fidelity Banks. Preeceded in death by: Parents, John & Mattie Hatcher Ellis; Half Brother, Lonas Strevel; Half Sister, Una Miller; Brother-in-law, C.M. (Sonny) Beal. Survivors include: Loving husband, Glenn "Casey"; Daughters and Sons-in-law, Judy & Rick Brownlie and Susan and Michael Best; Grandchildren, David and Beth Ballard, Steven Ballard, Taylor Best, Andrew Best, and Caroline Elizabeth Best; Step Grandchildren, Rick and Carmen Brownlie, David Brownlie, Andrew and Elizabeth Brownlie; Great-Grandchildren, David III, Elijah, and Grace Annabelle Ballard; Step-great-grandchildren, Megan and Logan Brownlie, Matthew Irwin and Asher and Ava Brownlie; Sister, Mary Ellis Beal; Brother and Sister-in-law, John & Ruth Ellis; Half brother and sister-in-law, Charles David and Linda Ellis; Sister-in-law, Mary Strevel; many nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life will be at 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 24, 2007 at Maryville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Carroll and Rev. Brenda Carroll officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 2:30 PM, Friday, May 25, 2007 at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel for graveside service and entombment. Memorial may be made to: Maryville First United Methodist Church, 804 Montvale Station Road, Maryville, TN 37803 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 S. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
