Elizabeth Hood

Elizabeth "Liz" Rice Hood age 55 of Walland died Thursday, July 31, 2008 at Baptist Hospital West. Liz owned Hood Real Estate and was a Real Estate Broker. She graduated from Gulfport High School and The University of Mississippi and moved to Tennessee from Jackson, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Addie Rice of Gulfport, MS. Survivors include her husband Bobby L. Hood; son Lee Gordon of Memphis; brothers and sisters-in-law, James "Jim" and Sharon Rice of Hattiesburg, MS, William "Bill" and Fran Rice of Alexandria, VA, John and Suzanne Rice of Gulfport, MS; many nieces and nephews. The family would like to say a special thank you to the Saddle Ridge Community. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2008 in the Smith Trinity Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to The Friends of the Smokies. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, 983-1000.
