Elizabeth Hardy Davidson

Davidson Elizabeth Hardy age 89 of Calhoun Ga. formerly of Alcoa. Died Sunday, July 9, 2006 in Calhoun GA. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Calhoun GA. She was a former member of 1st Baptist Church of Maryville. Mrs. Davidson was a long time member of 1st Baptist Church of Alcoa. She was involved in numerous charitable and benevolent endeavors through her churches in Maryville and Alcoa over the years. She came to Blount County in 1943 to work for Alcoa during WWII, met and married Clayton Davidson in 1943. They established a household in Alcoa till his passing in 1984. She had resided in her hometown of Calhoun, Georgia since 1990. Preceded in death by husband Clayton Davidson; Parents, Mark Hardy and Stella French Hardy, Sisters, Evelyn Borders and Carolyn Harlan. Survivors include: Sons, Jeffrey Davidson of Calhoun, GA and Mark and wife Jan Davidson of Maryville, TN. Grandchildren, Bethany Davidson, Josh Davidson both of Maryville. Nieces, Glenda Drinka of Maryville, Jane Blankenship of Destin, FL and Wanda Borders Richards of Calhoun, GA. Nephews, Ford Borders of Greenville, SC, Stewart Borders of Anderson S.C, Harry Borders of West Palm Beach, FL and Ray Henderson of Knoxville, TN. Special Great Niece Teresa Davis Carter of Calhoun, GA. Funeral Service 7:30 pm Tuesday, July 11, 2006 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with the Rev. Henry Linginfelter officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 12 at Grandview Cemetery.
