Elder James H. Hurst

Elder James H. Hurst age 86 of Walland passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011 at the family home. He was a member of Millers Cove Primitive Baptist Church and a minister in the Original Tennessee Association of Primitive Baptist. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Maggie and Caleb Hurst, wife of 54 years Margaret Burns Hurst, sons; Gary and James A. Hurst, sister Brownie Whitehead, brothers; Doyle, Bill Joe, Ray and Jack Hurst. He is survived by daughters and spouses; Sharon and Stan Headrick, Trudy and Lynn Burchfield, daughter in law Dorothy Hurst, grandchildren; Jim and Shannon Hurst, Kevin and Tammy Burchfield, Amy and Richard Wilson, Brad and Teri Headrick, Kelli and Jerry Barnes, great-grandchildren; Eric, Britney, Ryan, Ashley, Lauren, Hailey, Megan, Allison, Madison, Jess, Drew and Meagan, great-great-grandchild Bella, brother Robert Hurst and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. on Monday September 26, 2010 in the West Chapel of Smith Funeral and Cremation Service with Elders Dewey Brown, Tommy Boring and Mike Walker officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 am on Tuesday September 27, 2011 at West Millers Cove Church Cemetery for the interment.
