Effie Lorene Palmer

Effie Lorene Palmer, age 92, of Maryville passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017 at UT Medical Center. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who adored her family and cherished the times she spent laughing with them and cooking for them. She was a longtime member of Springview Baptist Church and Hopewell Baptist Church. Effie will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Preceded in death by: Husband, Woodrow Palmer. Survivors include: Son & Daughter-in-law, Wendell & Gina Palmer of Powder Springs, GA; Grandchildren, Alicia & Sam Baughn of New York, NY and Jill & Patrick Gregory of Raleigh, NC; Great-Grandchildren, Atlas & Calista Baughn and Isabella & Wells Gregory; Special Best of Friends; Teresa Hurst and Joel & Ruby Ogle. Family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM with Rev. George Macht officiating.
