Edward A. Rogers

Edward A. Rogers age 85 of Maryville passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Ellejoy Baptist Church. He retired as Superintendent of Maintenance at UT. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Preceded in death by: Parents, Mayford & Lucy Rogers; Sisters, Stella McCammon and Ella Lyle; Son-in-law, Dale Valentine. Survivors include: Wife, Charlotte Rogers; Daughter, Brenda Valentine; Grandchildren, Ranee Ward (Jason) and Raymond Ogle (Kirsten); Great-Grandchildren, Troie Webb, Ethan Webb, and Caleb Ogle; Great-Great-Granddaughter, Maci Rae Webb; Sister, Gladys Guffey. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Smith West Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Jim Lawhorn and Rev. Arkie Baker officiating.
