Edna Stinnett Abney

Edna Stinnett Abney age 84 of Alcoa, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at UT Medical Center. She was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church, Alcoa. Preceded in death by: Loving husband of 58 years, J.T. Abney; Siblings, Leon Stinnett, Mardell Gibson, and Wilford Stinnett. Parents, Guy & Katie Stinnett. Survivors include: Son & Daughter-in-law, Phillip & Nan Abney of Texas; Daughter, Judy L. Abney of Maryville; Grandchildren, Jama Williams of Alcoa, Scott & Niki Love of Maryville, Shannon Abney of California and Jason Abney of Texas; Great-Grandchildren, Alexis Ferguson, Kyler Love, Jessie Williams, Gracie Love; Sister, Betty Drown of Oak Ridge; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on the 5th floor at UT Medical Center for all their care and support. They would also like to thank all her friends at Asbury Place Maryville for all their love and care. Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM, Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Dr. Devan E. Brown officiating. Entombment will follow at Sherwood Mausoleum Chapel.
