Edmund Anthony Ciechon, a devoted and loving husband and father died at home in Alpharetta, Georgia on August 13, 2024. Ed was born in Manchester, New Hampshire in 1944 to Genevieve and Albert Ciechon. Ed attended Bishop Bradley High School before attending college at New Hampshire College. He loved being active and playing sports his entire life, most especially basketball. He met and married his sweetheart, Barbara, in Atlanta where he became a father to Michele. Ed and Barbara were married for 59 years, and he loved her more than anything. He worked for close to 30 years at Sara Lee Baking Company in Knoxville, Tennessee. He retired and moved to Canton, Georgia after the birth of his granddaughter, Anna. Ed was a devout Catholic. He was a living example of what it meant to follow in Jesus’ footsteps, be God’s servant, and inspire others to do the same. Ed and Barbara attended church at All Saints Catholic Parish while living in Knoxville, Tennessee and later at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Woodstock, Georgia. To all those that knew Ed, they can attest to the fact that he was a selfless, warm-hearted, fun-loving friend to all. Ed is survived by his wife, Barbara Ayers Ciechon; daughter, Michele Ciechon Mosetti; granddaughter, Anna Lauren Mosetti; sister, Natalie Ciechon Rice; former son-in-law, Steven Mosetti; and many loving uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends. Ed was preceded in death by his mother, Genevieve L. Ciechon; his father, Albert Ciechon; his brother, Albert J. Ciechon; and many other loving relatives whom he will meet again in Heaven. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 7719 River Rd, Townsend, TN 37882 from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 AM.
