Edith Taylor

Edith Taylor age 87 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012. She was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church. She was a loving & caring wife devoting the last twenty years of her husband's life caring for him after his accident. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rich Taylor; 2 sisters, Ora Thompson & Ethyl Emerson; brothers, James Thompson and Carl Thompson; niece, Betty Sue Emerson; nephew, John Thompson. Survivors include her brother, Frank Thompson of Sylva, NC; nieces and nephews, Hugh Thompson of Sylva, NC and James Robert Thompson of Morgan, NC, Joe Paul Thompson of Statesville, NC, Jerry Thompson, Mary Parks, Edna Faye Scott all of Sylva, NC. Special & dear friends, Ola Cable of Maryville, Greg Elkins of Temperance, MI; Many folks she befriended & cared for throughout the years in and around Monroe County, MI. and a host of other family and friends also survive. Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Friday, June 8, 2012 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ronnie Longmire officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
