Edith I. Russell

Edith Sullivan Russell age 90 of Maryville passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at the family home. She was a longtime member and pianist at Alcoa-Maryville Church of God and was a recent member of New Visions Church of God. She loved flowers and was an excellent floral arrangers. She was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who will be deeply loved and missed by all who knew her. Preceded in death by: Husband, J.C. Russell; 1st Husband, C.L. Barrett; Son, Jerry Barrett; Parents, Eddie & Myrtle Sullivan. Survivors include: Son & Daughter-in-law, Roger & Sherry Russell of Friendsville; Daughter & Son-in-law, Norma & Howard Whitehead of Maryville; Daughter-in-law, Vickie Barrett of Maryville; Grandchildren, Karen Ledbetter, Warren Barrett, Tim Barrett, Roger Russell Jr., Robin Kiser, Joshua Villars; 7 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great-Grandchild; Brother & Sister-in-law, Ralph & Betty Sullivan of Rockford; Special Sister, Betty Mason & Tommy of Maryville Special Pet, Lula. Special thanks to the friends and neighbors for their love and support. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Smith West Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Garner and Rev. Coleda Garner officiating. Entombment will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 30, 2009 at Grandview Mausoleum.
