Edith Irene Gamble Garner

Garner, Edith Irene Gamble age 88 of Alcoa, passed away Friday, July 21, 2006 at Asbury Place of Maryville. She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Garner; parents, Joe & Ethel Gamble; sisters, Estelle Ownby & Ruth Sims; brothers, Murrell & Jack Gamble. Survivors include her sisters & brothers-in-law, June & Jim Roberts of Maryville, Reba & Archie Duggan of Jefferson City; brothers & sisters-in-law, Dick & Jackie Gamble of Maryville, Jay & Jolene Gamble of Humboldt; sister-in-law, Sandy Gamble of Maryville; many nieces & nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at Asbury Place with a special acknowledgement and heartfelt gratitude to Jan & Amanda Click for the compassion and love showered on Edith. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 23, 2006 at Smith Mortuary, Maryville. The funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary with Rev. Jim Lawhorn officiating.
