Edgar N. Rader

Edgar N. “Sam” Rader, age 80 of Friendsville, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Williamsburg Villas. He retired from Alcoa with over 30 years of service and was a member of their 25-Year Club. Sam enjoyed farming and gardening. He was a graduate of Friendsville High School, Class of 1956. Preceded in death by: Parents, Newton & Sophia Rader; Brother, William A. Rader; Sister, Joyce L. Key. Survivors include: Wife of 55 years, Phyllis Rader; Daughters, Amanda McPhaul and Andrea Rader; Son-in-law, Dr. Michael McPhaul; Brothers, Junior Rader and James W. Rader; Sisters, Earnestine Key and Mary Aker; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM with Pastor Betty Furches officiating. Family and friends will assemble for entombment at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 21, 2017 at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel.
