Edgar D. Cate, Jr.

Cate, Edgar Jr. age 66 of Alcoa passed away Monday, March 27, 2006 at UT Medical Center. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Alcoa. He was a retired truck driver and worked for C & C Trucking. Preceded in death by: Parents, Edgar Derieux and Margie Cate Sr.; Son, Timothy Edgar Cate; Infant Brother, Charles Cate. Survivors include: Wife of 17 years, Orma Cate; Son, Gregry Scott Cate of Knoxville; Stepson, Dean Wicks & wife Carol of Maryville; Grandchildren, Jerred & Bailey Cate; Step-Grandchildren, Bradley, Holly, and Stephane Wicks; Sister and Brother-in-law, Charlsie & Clarence Bowers; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, Tuesday, March 28, 2006 in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Danny Davis officiating. Interment will be at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at Clarks Grove Cemetery.
