Dwain Duggan age 87 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the family home. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company after 25 years of service. Wilbert loved the outdoors, especially fishing. He was owner and operator of Fishin’ Stuff - Tackle and Bait Shop and was also a fishing guide. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Preceded in death by: parents, Oscar E. & Emma L Duggan; 1 brother; 3 sisters; grandchildren, Lindsay Michelle Woodall and Nolan Woodall; son-in-law, Larry Rhea. Survivors include: loving wife of 68 years, Louise Duggan; daughter, Debbie Rhea of Maryville; daughter & son-in-law, Kim & Gary Curtis of Gainesville, VA; grandchildren, Paige Woodall of Maryville, Jennifer Curtis of Strasburg, VA, Meagan Martinez (Armando) of Houston, TX, and Chris Curtis of Gainesville, VA; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to offer a special thanks to UT Hospice for all their care and kindness shown to us during this time. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM with Pastor Thomas Green officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 08, 2024 at Grandview Cemetery.
