Douglas James Bowers age 72 of Maryville, TN passed away Friday, July 3, 2009 at Blount Memorial Hospital, Maryville. He was preceded in death by his parents, George & Eva Bowers; brothers, Roby & Bufford Bowers. Survivors include his wife, Charlene Bowers; daughter, Kim Elizabeth Bowers & Howard Perrine of NY; Sons & daughters-in-law, Paul Douglas & Leslie Bowers of Maryville, Jay Christopher & Susan Bowers of NY; 5 grandchildren, Melinda Sue Britton Crisp & husband, Todd Crisp, Dana Nicole Bowers, Joshua Paul Bowers, Evan Jay Bowers, Aidan Christopher Bowers; sisters, Annette Loftis, Ailene Cochran, Carolyn Crane, Norma Lee McGaha, Claudette Huffman all of North Carolina.
