Dorothy Ellen Belcher Gresham

Dorothy Ellen Belcher Gresham, age 90 of Walland, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022, going home to the Lord and a host of family and loved ones. She was of Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Gresham Sr. (SMSgt Retired, 134th Air Refueling Wing); her parents, Della and Tom Belcher Sr.; and 13 brothers and sisters. All of which she loved and cared for deeply. She is survived by her three children and three wonderful grandchildren that she adored; also several nieces and nephews, all of which she loved dearly. Dorothy went to Bassell Elementary School and graduated from Alcoa High in 1949. In her high school years: she was in Who’s Who, Beta Club, the A Club, a Cheerleader, Capt. of the basketball team and went by the name of Shorty, voted Miss Alcoa, and Miss Friendliness in her graduating annual. She worked at Capital Theater in her younger days and worked and retired from UT hospital later in life. Rest in peace mom! We love you!
