Dorothy Blake age 90 of Alcoa passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at home. She worked for Knoxville News Sentinel during World War II. Then she was employed at the University of Tennessee at Strong Hall in the cafeteria. She was a member and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church Maryville. Preceded in death by: Husband, Alvin C. Blake. Survivors include: Son, Thomas Blake of Alcoa; Niece, Mary Alice Simpson of Knoxville; Nephew, Clyde Witt of Sweetwater. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and entombment at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Charles Ballard officiating.
